Terekhova Anna Dmitrievna was born on February 2, 1919 in the Oryol (today Lipetsk) region, Zadonsky district, with. Sergovka.
After graduating from school on September 1, 1938, she entered the Lipetsk paramedical and obstetric school, and graduated on August 25, 1940. According to the distribution, she was sent to the village of Rossosh, Repevsky district, as the head of the collective farm maternity hospital, where she met her future husband Ivan Ilyich Terekhov. A year later, they got married, not suspecting that they would soon have to leave. On August 2, 1941, she was mobilized into the ranks of the Red Army, enrolled in a cavalry regiment, where she served for eight months [3]. In 1942, she transferred to the paramedics of the 93rd separate motor transport battalion, located on the Oryol-Kursk Bulge. According to the strategic task of medicine in wartime, the fight for the life of the wounded began immediately after the injury, directly on the battlefield. Doctors understood that the main causes of death of the wounded were injuries incompatible with life, shock and blood loss. Therefore, it was necessary to provide high-quality first aid. It was the battalion medical center, headed by the battalion paramedic, who was the organizer of all medical care and all sanitary and hygienic and anti-epidemic measures carried out in the battalion. The duties of Anna Dmitrievna included sorting the wounded coming from the battlefield according to the severity of their injury and providing them with first aid [1].
Later she was transferred to the field hospital of the 65th Army. Serving in the hospital, Anna Dmitrievna more than once had to carry the fighters from the battlefield, risking their lives. Once, while helping the soldiers, she herself was shell-shocked.
In 1943, she learned about the death of her father, but a little over a year later she returned home. It turned out that he was taken to the hospital with a serious wound and survived thanks to the doctors.
After the end of the war, A.D. Terekhova still continued to work in a military hospital until January 17, 1946. Helped wounded soldiers to their feet.
She was demobilized with the rank of junior lieutenant, had awards - medals "For Courage", "For Military Merit", "For Victory in Germany". [2]
Returning from the front in 1946, Anna Dmitrievna continued her medical activities. From 1946 to 1968, as head of a maternity hospital in the village of Rossosh, she helped more than a dozen girls and boys be born. In 1968 she worked as a midwife at the Rossosh FAP. HELL. Terekhova completed her career in August 1983, but even on a well-deserved rest, she helped her fellow countrymen until her last days. They remember her as a sympathetic and kind person.
